Responsibilities
- Provide Direct Patient Care: Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting in a respectful and dignified manner.
- Vital Signs Monitoring: Accurately measure and record patient vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates.
- Assist with Mobility: Support patients with ambulation, transfers, and positioning to ensure safety and prevent falls.
- Medication Assistance: Administer medication as directed by nursing staff and document all care activities accurately in electronic health records.
- Emotional Support: Build rapport with patients and their families, providing emotional support and companionship to enhance patient well-being.
- Cleanliness & Safety: Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment in patient rooms and common areas.
Qualifications
- Certification: Valid and current Colorado CNA license and CPR/BLS certification required.
- Experience: Previous experience in long-term care, home health, or hospital settings preferred.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with patients, families, and medical staff.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and perform physical tasks associated with patient care.
- Compassion: Genuine empathy, patience, and a desire to help others.
- Attention to Detail: Ability to follow protocols and instructions precisely to ensure patient safety.
