Job Summary
We are looking for a reliable and empathetic CNA to provide exceptional care to our clients. You will be responsible for assisting with daily living activities, monitoring health status, and providing emotional support in a patient's residence.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates.
- Prepare and serve meals according to prescribed dietary requirements.
- Provide mobility assistance, including transferring and ambulation using proper body mechanics.
- Administer medications and remind clients to take prescribed medications.
- Offer companionship and emotional support to clients to reduce feelings of isolation.
- Document daily care logs and communicate any changes in patient condition to the nursing supervisor.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered Michigan State CNA Certification.
- Minimum of 1 year of professional nursing or home health experience preferred.
- CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Strong interpersonal communication and active listening skills.
- Ability to lift, push, and stand for extended periods.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Clean criminal background check and drug screen.
