Responsibilities
- Provide basic patient care, including bathing, dressing, and grooming assistance.
- Monitor and accurately record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse.
- Assist patients with mobility and transfers using proper body mechanics and safety protocols.
- Prepare and serve meals, ensuring all dietary restrictions and nutritional needs are met.
- Communicate changes in patient conditions or concerns to the registered nurse immediately.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment at all times.
- Document daily care activities and patient interactions accurately in electronic health records.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered CNA certification in the state of Maryland.
- CPR/BLS certification is required.
- Previous experience in a healthcare setting is preferred but not required for new graduates.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on patient advocacy.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs safely.
- Compassionate demeanor with a high level of attention to detail.
- Must pass a background check and drug screen.
