Responsibilities
- Monitor Patient Health: Observe and report changes in patient conditions, vital signs, and overall well-being to the nursing staff.
- Assist with Daily Living: Provide assistance with bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility for patients in need.
- Administer Medication: Support the distribution of medications as prescribed and document all administration accurately.
- Communication: Serve as a vital link between patients, families, and the medical team, ensuring clear and compassionate communication.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, charts, and incident reports.
- Environment Maintenance: Ensure patient rooms and common areas are clean, safe, and organized.
- Emergency Response: Respond promptly to patient needs and assist during emergencies as required.
Qualifications
- CNA Certification: Valid and active Certified Nursing Assistant license in the State of Nevada.
- CPR Certification: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification.
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
- Experience: Previous experience in a clinical or long-term care setting is preferred but not always required.
- Interpersonal Skills: Strong empathy, patience, and excellent communication skills.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for extended periods and lift/move patients as needed.
- Reliability: Must be dependable and committed to a consistent schedule.
