Responsibilities
- Patient Care: Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, feeding, and mobility support in a respectful and professional manner.
- Vital Signs Monitoring: Accurately measure and record patient vital signs such as temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiration rates as directed by registered nurses.
- Communication: Serve as a key communication link between patients, families, and the healthcare team, reporting changes in patient condition promptly.
- Hygiene & Safety: Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment, adhering to all infection control and safety protocols.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and care plans in the electronic health record system.
- Assistance: Support nursing staff with procedures, specimen collection, and preparing patients for examinations or procedures.
Qualifications
- Certification: Current and active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in the state of Tennessee required.
- Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of acute care or hospital nursing assistant experience is highly preferred.
- Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with patients, families, and medical staff.
- Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required at time of hire.
- Attributes: Empathetic, patient-focused, detail-oriented, and able to work well in a fast-paced team environment.
