Responsibilities
- Provide direct, patient-centered care and assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Monitor and record patient vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates.
- Assist with mobility, transfers, and positioning to ensure patient safety and comfort.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care in electronic health records (EHR).
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary care team to ensure continuity of care.
- Administer medications and treatments as directed by licensed nursing staff.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and therapeutic environment in accordance with facility standards.
Qualifications
- Active, unencumbered Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in the state of Louisiana.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (ACLS preferred but not required).
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Strong communication skills and a genuine compassion for helping others.
- Ability to lift, push, and pull patients and equipment up to 50 lbs.
- Reliable transportation and a positive attitude towards teamwork.
- Previous experience in a healthcare or long-term care setting is a plus.
