Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including assistance with bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting.
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature, accurately.
- Assist patients with mobility, transfers, and ambulation using proper body mechanics and assistive devices.
- Prepare and serve meals according to patient dietary restrictions and preferences.
- Document patient care activities, changes in condition, and interactions with patients and families in electronic health records.
- Communicate effectively with the nursing staff and healthcare team to ensure continuity of care.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment for patients.
Qualifications
- Current and valid Arizona State CNA Certification (CNA II preferred).
- Previous experience in a long-term care, assisted living, or hospital setting is a plus.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on patient empathy.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks as required.
- Basic computer literacy for documentation purposes.
- CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be maintained.
