Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including assistance with bathing, dressing, and personal hygiene.
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse, accurately.
- Assist patients with mobility, transfers, and ambulation using proper body mechanics.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment in accordance with safety protocols.
- Document patient care activities, updates, and changes in condition in electronic health records.
- Communicate effectively with the nursing staff and families regarding patient needs and status.
- Administer medications as directed by the RN and following strict protocols.
Qualifications
- Active and unencumbered Washington State CNA license.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and CPR certification.
- Previous experience in a healthcare setting or long-term care facility is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Physical stamina and the ability to lift and move patients safely.
