Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care and assistance with daily living activities (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor and record patient vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, and pulse rates.
- Assist nurses with medical procedures and administer medications as directed.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team regarding patient conditions and needs.
- Document patient progress and any changes in condition accurately and timely.
- Support patient mobility and comfort by using assistive devices and providing emotional support.
Qualifications
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license required by state of Texas.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Previous experience in a hospital or healthcare setting preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to lift and move patients as needed.
- Compassionate, patient, and detail-oriented approach to care.
