Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate patient care including bathing, dressing, and feeding assistance
- Monitor and record vital signs, patient conditions, and care documentation
- Assist with mobility transfers and use of medical equipment
- Collaborate with RNs and healthcare team members on care plans
- Maintain clean, safe patient environments following OSHA standards
- Support emotional well-being through patient interaction and companionship
- Participate in shift handoffs and care coordination meetings
Qualifications
- Active North CNA certification in good standing
- Minimum 6 months recent CNA experience in long-term care or acute settings
- BLS/CPR certification required (AHA preferred)
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds with proper body mechanics
- Strong attention to detail and documentation skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
- Passion for geriatric or patient-centered care
