Responsibilities
- Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize dental instruments following OSHA protocols
- Assist dentists during procedures including instrument transfer and suction management
- Take and develop dental X-rays with digital imaging systems
- Manage patient records and update treatment plans in practice management software
- Administer patient education on oral hygiene and post-procedure care
- Order inventory and maintain dental supply organization
- Coordinate patient flow and ensure efficient clinic operations
Qualifications
- Active Dental Assistant certification from CODA-accredited program
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in general dentistry
- Proficiency with digital radiography and Eaglesoft software
- CPR/BLS certification (current)
- Strong communication skills with diverse patient populations
- Attention to detail in infection control protocols
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in fast-paced environment
- Flexibility to work evenings and occasional Saturdays
