Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during procedures including instrument preparation, suctioning, and four-handed dentistry
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) with proper infection control protocols
- Perform sterilization and maintenance of dental equipment and instruments
- Prepare treatment rooms, materials, and trays for dental procedures
- Manage patient intake, chart updates, and digital record management
- Provide post-operative instructions and patient education
- Assist in inventory management and ordering of dental supplies
Qualifications
- Current Texas Dental Assistant License or RDA certification required
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in general dentistry
- CPR/BLS certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Proficiency in dental software (e.g., Eaglesoft, Dentrix)
- Strong knowledge of OSHA and infection control standards
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Spanish bilingual preferred
