Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during procedures including instrument preparation and patient monitoring
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) with precision and care
- Manage sterilization protocols and inventory of dental supplies
- Prepare treatment rooms and ensure optimal infection control standards
- Perform patient education on oral hygiene and post-treatment care
- Coordinate appointment scheduling and maintain accurate patient records
- Assist with digital charting and practice management software
Qualifications
- Current Dental Assistant certification or X-ray license in Arizona
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in a dental practice
- Proficiency with dental radiography equipment and sterilization techniques
- Strong knowledge of HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality
- Exceptional communication skills and ability to put patients at ease
- Detail-oriented with excellent manual dexterity and organizational skills
- Flexible availability including evenings and some weekends
- CPR certification preferred (or willingness to obtain)
