What You Will Do
As a Dental Assistant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our patients have a comfortable and efficient experience. Your daily tasks will include assisting the dentist during procedures, preparing treatment rooms, and managing patient records.
Responsibilities
- Chairside Assistance: Support the dentist and hygienist during examinations and treatments using four-handed dentistry techniques.
- Patient Care: Greet patients warmly, explain procedures, and ensure they feel relaxed throughout their visit.
- Preparation & Sterilization: Properly prepare instruments, set up trays, and maintain strict sterilization protocols to ensure patient safety.
- Imaging: Take and develop dental X-rays (radiographs) and intraoral photographs as directed by the dentist.
- Administrative Duties: Manage appointment scheduling, update patient charts, and handle insurance verification when necessary.
Qualifications
- Education: Completion of an accredited Dental Assistant program or certification (e.g., DANB, CODA).
- Licensure: Current Dental Assistant license in the state of Oklahoma.
- CPR Certification: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
- Experience: 1-2 years of experience in a dental setting preferred, but we are willing to train motivated candidates.
- Skills: Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work well in a team environment.
