Responsibilities
- Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize dental instruments prior to patient visits.
- Assist the dentist during procedures by providing necessary tools and ensuring a smooth workflow.
- Take and develop high-quality dental X-rays and intraoral photographs.
- Explain dental procedures and post-care instructions to patients in a clear, reassuring manner.
- Maintain accurate patient records and update charts as needed.
- Manage inventory of dental supplies and notify management of shortages.
Qualifications
- Current Dental Assistant certification (CDA, RDA) or equivalent training.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
- Strong knowledge of dental anatomy, terminology, and infection control protocols.
- Excellent communication skills with a patient-first approach.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- High school diploma or GED required.
