Responsibilities
- Prepare sterile fields, instruments, and equipment for surgical procedures
- Assist surgeons during operations by passing instruments and supplies
- Maintain sterile environments and enforce infection control protocols
- Count and track surgical items before/after procedures
- Transport patients and equipment between operating rooms
- Assist with sterilization and maintenance of surgical equipment
- Document procedures accurately in electronic health records
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential required
- Minimum 2 years of acute care surgical experience
- Knowledge of sterile processing and aseptic techniques
- Ability to work in fast-paced, high-stress environments
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Strong attention to detail and critical thinking skills
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and stand for extended periods
