Responsibilities
- Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques.
- Take and develop dental x-rays (radiographs) as directed by the dentist.
- Prepare treatment rooms and instruments for patient procedures.
- Maintain strict sterilization and infection control protocols.
- Manage patient records and update dental charts accurately.
- Greet patients and educate them on oral hygiene and post-operative care.
- Order and inventory dental supplies and materials.
Qualifications
- Current Dental Assistant license (RDA) or certification in Pennsylvania.
- CPR and BLS certification (American Red Cross or American Heart Association).
- Experience with dental software (e.g., Eaglesoft or OpenDental) is a plus.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational abilities.
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift patients or equipment as needed.
