Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough patient assessments via phone triage to determine medical urgency and appropriate care pathways
- Provide evidence-based clinical guidance and health education to patients of all age groups
- Maintain accurate documentation in EHR systems while adhering to HIPAA compliance standards
- Collaborate with physicians and specialists to coordinate patient care transitions
- Manage high-volume call centers during peak hours while maintaining exceptional service quality
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and protocol updates
Qualifications
- Active RN license in the state of Texas with no disciplinary actions
- Minimum 3 years clinical experience in emergency medicine, urgent care, or telehealth
- BLS and ACLS certifications required; TNCC preferred
- Proficient in triage protocols (e.g., ESI, Manchester Triage System)
- Exceptional communication skills with ability to de-escalate anxious callers
- Experience with EHR systems (Epic, Cerner, or similar)
- Ability to work independently with strong critical thinking abilities
