Responsibilities
- Provide personal care assistance including bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Prepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding as needed
- Monitor vital signs and report changes to clinical staff
- Administer prescribed medications accurately and on schedule
- Assist with mobility transfers and use of adaptive equipment
- Light housekeeping tasks and laundry for client comfort
- Document care activities and client observations meticulously
- Transport clients to medical appointments and errands
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Minimum 1 year home health aide or caregiver experience
- Current CPR and First Aid certification
- NM state HHA certification or ability to obtain within 30 days
- Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening
- Compassionate nature with patience for elderly/disabled clients
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail
