Responsibilities
- Personal Care: Assist clients with bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting to maintain hygiene and dignity.
- Medication Management: Remind clients to take prescribed medications and report any changes in health to the nursing team.
- Light Housekeeping: Perform light cleaning tasks such as laundry, meal preparation, and tidying the living space.
- Companionship: Engage clients in conversation, activities, and socialization to promote mental well-being.
- Transportation: Drive clients to medical appointments, shopping, or social outings as needed.
- Vital Signs: Monitor and record blood pressure, pulse, and temperature as required.
Qualifications
- Certification: Current Texas Home Health Aide (HHA) or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification is preferred.
- Experience: Previous experience in home care, hospice, or long-term care is a plus.
- Driver's License: Valid driver's license and reliable transportation are required.
- Background Check: Must pass a background check and drug screen.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Compassion: Genuine empathy and patience when working with elderly or disabled individuals.
