Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examinations and assist providers during medical procedures
- Accurately measure vital signs and document patient information in EHR systems
- Administer injections, medications, and perform phlebotomy procedures
- Schedule patient appointments and maintain organized medical records
- Assist with laboratory specimen processing and basic lab tests
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and preventive care
- Ensure clinic cleanliness and compliance with OSHA/JCAHO standards
Qualifications
- Current and valid Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or CCMA)
- Minimum 1 year of clinical experience in a fast-paced medical setting
- Proficiency with Electronic Health Records (Epic or NextGen preferred)
- CPR/BLS certification from a recognized provider
- Strong attention to detail and exceptional communication skills
- Ability to work 20-25 hours per week with flexible scheduling
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and patient privacy protocols
- High school diploma or equivalent required
