Responsibilities
- Perform patient intake, obtain vital signs, and prepare patients for examination.
- Assist physicians and advanced practice providers during clinical procedures.
- Manage administrative duties including appointment scheduling, medical record updates, and patient correspondence.
- Perform basic laboratory tests, point-of-care testing, and EKGs as directed.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized clinical environment adhering to all infection control protocols.
- Ensure strict compliance with HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality.
Qualifications
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) credential required.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in a primary care setting preferred.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.
- Proficient in electronic health records (EHR) systems (e.g., Epic, AthenaHealth).
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on patient empathy.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
