Responsibilities
- Assist physicians with clinical procedures including examinations, injections, and wound care
- Take vital signs, prepare patients for examinations, and maintain accurate medical records
- Perform basic laboratory tests and phlebotomy procedures
- Manage patient flow and ensure examination rooms are stocked and sanitized
- Provide patient education on medications, treatments, and preventive care
- Coordinate appointment scheduling and communicate with healthcare teams
Qualifications
- Current CPR certification (BLS for Healthcare Providers)
- Graduation from accredited Medical Assistant program or equivalent experience
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in ambulatory or hospital setting
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic, Cerner, or similar)
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and HIPAA regulations
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work in fast-paced environments
- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed
