Responsibilities
- Assist physicians with clinical procedures including examinations, injections, and wound care
- Perform vital signs, EKGs, and phlebotomy with precision and patient comfort
- Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR) and ensure HIPAA compliance
- Coordinate patient flow, prepare exam rooms, and manage inventory of medical supplies
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and medications
- Support front desk operations including appointment scheduling and insurance verification
Qualifications
- Current Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or equivalent)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in a hospital or urgent care setting
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic or Cerner preferred)
- BLS/CPR certification from the American Heart Association
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and clinical procedures
- Excellent communication skills and ability to multitask in fast-paced environments
- Valid Florida state medical assistant license
