Responsibilities
- Perform clinical duties including vital signs measurement, EKGs, and specimen collection
- Assist providers with examinations, procedures, and patient education
- Manage electronic health records with precision and confidentiality
- Coordinate patient flow and prepare examination rooms efficiently
- Administer medications and injections per physician protocols
- Handle medical supplies inventory and equipment sterilization
- Provide exceptional patient communication and support services
Qualifications
- Current Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or equivalent)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in hospital or specialty setting
- BLS certification required (ACLS preferred)
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic experience preferred)
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and HIPAA compliance
- Ability to work flexible shifts including weekends and evenings
- Excellent interpersonal skills and cultural sensitivity
- High school diploma or equivalent required
