Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examination by taking vital signs and medical history.
- Assist providers during examinations and procedures.
- Administer medications and injections as directed by physicians.
- Perform basic laboratory tests and EKGs.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in electronic health records (EHR).
- Coordinate patient referrals and scheduling.
Qualifications
- Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, or NCMA) required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- 1+ years of clinical experience preferred, but entry-level candidates with externship experience considered.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proficiency in electronic health record systems.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
