Responsibilities
- Patient Preparation: Greet patients, verify demographics, and prepare them for examinations or procedures.
- Clinical Support: Assist providers with exams, treatments, and minor surgical procedures.
- Administrative Duties: Manage patient charts, update medical records, and handle incoming calls.
- Lab Services: Perform basic lab tests, such as blood draws (phlebotomy), and prepare specimens for analysis.
- Medication Management: Assist in medication reconciliation and ensure proper documentation.
- Inventory: Monitor and restock examination rooms and medical supplies.
Qualifications
- Certification: Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) preferred.
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required; completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program is a plus.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience in a clinical setting preferred.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems.
- Flexibility: Ability to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays.
