Responsibilities
- Perform vital signs, height, weight, and BMI measurements accurately.
- Greet patients and prepare them for examinations by completing necessary paperwork and insurance verification.
- Assist providers during patient exams, including drawing blood (phlebotomy) and performing EKGs.
- Maintain clean and organized examination rooms and medical equipment.
- Manage patient flow efficiently to minimize wait times.
- Prepare and administer medications as directed by the provider.
- Handle patient inquiries and provide basic health education.
Qualifications
- Certificate or Degree from an accredited Medical Assistant program.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- National Certification as a CMA, RMA, or NCMA preferred.
- 1-2 years of clinical experience in a primary care or specialty setting.
- Strong computer proficiency with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment.
