About the Role:
As a Medical Assistant, you will be the face of our clinic, ensuring our patients feel comfortable and receive the highest quality of care. You will work closely with our clinical staff to provide essential support services.
Responsibilities
- Patient Intake: Greet patients warmly, verify demographic information, and update patient records accurately in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.
- Vital Signs & Measurements: Assist providers in taking vital signs, including blood pressure, heart rate, temperature, and weight, ensuring accurate documentation.
- Clinical Support: Prepare examination rooms, sterilize medical instruments, and assist physicians and nurses with patient examinations and procedures.
- Phlebotomy: Perform basic blood draws and point-of-care testing as trained.
- Administrative Duties: Manage appointment scheduling, process insurance verification, and handle incoming patient inquiries via phone and email.
- Inventory Management: Monitor and restock medical supplies and personal protective equipment (PPE) as needed.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED required; Completion of a Medical Assistant certification program is a plus but not mandatory.
- Experience: No prior experience required. We are looking for eager learners with a strong desire to enter the healthcare field.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a focus on patient privacy and confidentiality.
- Technical Skills: Basic computer proficiency and ability to learn new EHR software quickly.
- Professionalism: Professional demeanor, reliability, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Availability: Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and some evenings.
