Responsibilities
- Greet and check-in patients, verifying insurance information and collecting co-pays accurately.
- Assist providers during examinations and procedures, ensuring patient comfort and privacy.
- Prepare exam rooms with necessary medical equipment and supplies.
- Perform vital signs, EKGs, and basic lab tests as directed by providers.
- Update and maintain accurate patient medical records in our Electronic Health Records (EHR) system.
- Provide patient education on medications and post-care instructions.
- Coordinate follow-up appointments and referrals as needed.
Qualifications
- Current CMA (Certified Medical Assistant), RMA (Registered Medical Assistant), or equivalent certification.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a clinical or hospital setting preferred.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.
- Excellent communication skills with a focus on patient-centered care.
- Ability to multi-task efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Flexibility to work varying shifts including weekends and holidays.
