Responsibilities
- Assist physicians with clinical procedures and patient examinations
- Prepare patients for treatments and maintain examination rooms
- Administer medications and perform basic lab tests
- Document patient information accurately in EHR systems
- Schedule appointments and manage patient records
- Provide patient education on treatment plans
- Coordinate with healthcare teams for seamless care delivery
Qualifications
- Active Medical Assistant certification (CMA or RMA)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in ambulatory care
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic or Cerner preferred)
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and protocols
- Valid BLS/CPR certification
- Texas state license to practice
- Excellent communication and multitasking abilities
- Ability to work flexible shifts including weekends
