- Verify patient eligibility and benefits before service rendering
- Resolve claim denials through appeals and follow-up communications
- Maintain precise patient billing records in EHR systems
- Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with HIPAA and CMS guidelines
- Collaborate with clinical staff to clarify coding discrepancies
- Generate monthly billing reports for financial review
Qualifications
- 3+ years of medical billing experience in a clinical setting
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) credential preferred
- Proficiency in Epic, eCW, or similar EHR platforms
- Expert knowledge of CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS coding
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
