Responsibilities
- Accurately process and submit medical claims to insurance providers (CMS-1500 form).
- Verify patient insurance eligibility and benefits to ensure timely reimbursement.
- Review and follow up on unpaid or denied claims to resolve billing discrepancies.
- Manage patient billing inquiries and provide excellent customer service.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records and billing databases.
- Assist with month-end billing cycles and financial reporting.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
- Basic computer proficiency and familiarity with Windows/Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to learn new medical billing software and compliance standards.
- No prior experience required – we provide comprehensive on-the-job training!
