Responsibilities
- Process and submit insurance claims with precision using medical coding systems (ICD-10, CPT)
- Verify patient eligibility and benefits before service delivery
- Resolve claim denials through effective follow-up and documentation
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA, CMS, and payer regulations
- Reconcile accounts receivable and generate monthly reports
- Collaborate with clinical teams to ensure accurate documentation
- Utilize Epic EHR system for billing operations
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of medical billing experience in a healthcare setting
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) or CPC certification preferred
- Proficiency in medical coding and billing software (e.g., Epic, Medisoft)
- Strong knowledge of insurance claim processes and third-party payers
- Exceptional attention to detail with error detection skills
