- Process and submit medical claims to insurance payers with 95%+ accuracy
- Verify patient eligibility and benefits using EHR systems
- Appeal denied claims and resolve billing discrepancies
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA, CMS, and payer policies
- Generate monthly reports on denial trends and AR metrics
- Collaborate with clinical teams for charge capture verification
- Stay updated on ICD-10/CPT coding changes
Qualifications
- 3+ years of medical billing experience in outpatient settings
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) or CPC credential preferred
- Expertise in CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS coding
- Proficient with Epic, eClinicalWorks, or similar EHR platforms
- Strong knowledge of Medicare/Medicaid/Commercial payer rules
- Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
