- Accurately code medical procedures using ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS codes
- Submit electronic claims to insurance companies and government payers
- Track claim status and resolve denials within 48 hours
- Conduct patient billing inquiries and payment plan coordination
- Perform account reconciliations and revenue cycle analysis
- Stay current with CMS and private payer policy updates
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA and healthcare regulations
Qualifications
- 2+ years of medical billing experience required
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) certification preferred
- Proficiency in Epic, NextGen, or similar EHR systems
