Responsibilities
- Accurately code medical diagnoses and procedures using CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS codes
- Submit clean claims to insurance companies and government payers
- Manage accounts receivable and follow up on outstanding balances
- Resolve billing discrepancies through patient and insurer communication
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations and billing standards
- Utilize Epic EHR and NextGen billing systems for daily operations
- Generate monthly revenue reports for financial analysis
Qualifications
- 3+ years of medical billing experience in a clinical setting
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) or CPC certification required
- Proficiency in medical coding (CPT-4, ICD-10, HCPCS)
- Expertise in insurance claim processes and reimbursement
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
- Experience with EHR systems (Epic preferred)
