Responsibilities
- Prepare sterile fields and surgical instruments in compliance with OSHA and AORN standards
- Assist surgeons during procedures with instrument passing and sterile technique maintenance
- Manage remote inventory tracking and supply chain coordination via our digital platform
- Document surgical cases and equipment maintenance through our HIPAA-compliant EHR system
- Participate in virtual quality improvement initiatives and peer education sessions
- Coordinate with vendors for equipment sterilization and maintenance scheduling
- Maintain sterile environments during complex surgical procedures across multiple specialties
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or equivalent certification required
- Minimum 2 years of perioperative experience in Level I trauma center setting
- Proficiency with robotic surgical systems (e.g., da Vinci) preferred
- Experience with remote inventory management software (e.g., STORIS, ORMAX)
- BLS/CPR certification with current ACLS certification preferred
- Ability to work flexible shifts including weekends and on-call rotations
- Strong digital literacy for remote administrative tasks and telehealth coordination
- Excellent communication skills for cross-functional team collaboration
