Responsibilities
- Accurately dispense prescription medications and verify orders
- Assist pharmacists with inventory management and stock rotation
- Process insurance claims and manage patient records
- Provide exceptional customer service and medication counseling
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA and pharmacy regulations
- Prepare IV admixtures and sterile compounds when certified
- Collaborate with healthcare providers for seamless patient care
Qualifications
- Active NY Pharmacy Technician license required
- 1+ years of retail or hospital pharmacy experience
- Certification (PTCB or ExCPT) preferred
- Proficiency in pharmacy software (e.g., QS1, Omnicell)
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities
- Ability to work flexible shifts including weekends
- Basic knowledge of medical terminology
