Responsibilities
- Accurately prepare and dispense prescription medications under pharmacist supervision
- Manage prescription inventory and conduct stock rotations
- Process insurance claims and manage third-party billing systems
- Provide medication counseling to patients in clear, understandable terms
- Maintain HIPAA-compliant electronic health records
- Assist with vaccine administration and immunization programs
- Collaborate with healthcare providers on prescription verification
Qualifications
- Current Michigan Pharmacy Technician License
- 1+ years of retail pharmacy experience preferred
- CPhT certification (PTCB or ExCPT) required
- Strong knowledge of prescription medications and pharmaceutical terminology
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Proficiency in pharmacy management software (e.g., QS/1, Rx30)
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs
- Background check and drug screening clearance
