Responsibilities
- Assess patient symptoms via telephone using standardized protocols
- Provide urgent care guidance and health education
- Accurately document patient encounters in EHR systems
- Coordinate with physicians and care teams for complex cases
- Maintain strict HIPAA compliance and confidentiality
- Manage high call volumes during peak times
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Current NC RN license with no disciplinary actions
- Minimum 2 years ER/urgent care experience
- ACLS/BLS certification required
- Excellent critical thinking and communication skills
- Experience with Epic or similar EHR systems
- Ability to work independently and prioritize cases
- Strong computer proficiency with telehealth platforms
