Responsibilities
- Accurately dispense prescription medications and verify dosages under pharmacist supervision
- Manage inventory control, including ordering, receiving, and stocking pharmaceutical supplies
- Process insurance claims and maintain patient records with strict confidentiality
- Provide exceptional customer service, answering patient inquiries about medications
- Assist with compounding sterile and non-sterile preparations as needed
- Maintain compliance with all federal, state, and pharmacy regulations
- Collaborate with healthcare team to ensure seamless patient care
Qualifications
- Active Louisiana Pharmacy Technician certification required
- Minimum 1 year of pharmacy experience preferred
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in medication handling
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Basic computer proficiency with pharmacy software systems
- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed
- Valid Louisiana driver's license and reliable transportation
