Responsibilities
- Accurately dispense prescription medications and compound pharmaceutical preparations following safety protocols
- Manage inventory control, including ordering, receiving, and tracking controlled substances
- Provide exceptional patient counseling on medication usage, side effects, and adherence
- Maintain precise prescription records using pharmacy software and regulatory compliance systems
- Process insurance claims and resolve billing discrepancies efficiently
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimize patient medication therapy
- Ensure strict adherence to HIPAA, OSHA, and pharmacy board regulations
Qualifications
- Active Ohio Pharmacy Technician license or certification eligibility
- Minimum 1 year retail/hospital pharmacy experience preferred
- Proficiency in pharmacy dispensing software (e.g., Omnicell, QS1)
- Exceptional attention to detail and mathematical accuracy
- Strong communication skills with diverse patient populations
