Responsibilities
- Prepare and package prescription medications for patients with accuracy and efficiency.
- Verify patient information, insurance details, and prescription orders for completeness and accuracy.
- Assist customers with medication inquiries and provide excellent customer service.
- Manage inventory levels, including receiving shipments and monitoring stock expiration dates.
- Collaborate with pharmacists to ensure proper dispensing protocols are followed.
- Handle cash transactions and process insurance claims accurately.
Qualifications
- Current Pharmacy Technician certification (PTCB or ExCPT) is required.
- Valid New York State Pharmacy Technician license.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
- Excellent communication skills and a friendly demeanor.
- Basic computer proficiency and experience with pharmacy management software.
