Responsibilities
- Accurately dispense and verify prescription medications using robotic automation systems
- Collaborate with pharmacists to optimize medication therapy management
- Manage inventory control and ordering for controlled substances
- Provide exceptional patient consultation on medication usage and insurance benefits
- Maintain HIPAA-compliant electronic health records
- Train junior technicians on sterile compounding protocols
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives for dispensing accuracy
Qualifications
- Current Minnesota Pharmacy Technician license
- 2+ years of hospital or high-volume retail pharmacy experience
- Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) credential
- Proficiency in pharmacy management software (e.g., Omnicell, QS/1)
- Strong knowledge of sterile compounding USP 797 guidelines
- Exceptional attention to detail and mathematical accuracy
- Ability to lift 25 lbs and stand for extended periods
- Valid CPR certification
