Responsibilities
- Prepare and package prescription medications according to strict state and federal regulations.
- Assist the pharmacist in reviewing prescriptions for accuracy, drug interactions, and allergies.
- Manage inventory, including receiving shipments, stocking shelves, and performing monthly inventory counts.
- Interact with patients to answer questions regarding medications, refill requests, and insurance coverage.
- Process insurance claims and verify patient information in the pharmacy management system.
- Maintain a clean and organized pharmacy workspace, adhering to all health and safety protocols.
Qualifications
- Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) or registration eligible in the state of Ohio.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Basic computer proficiency and experience with pharmacy software.
