- Process and label specimens accurately with attention to detail
- Maintain sterile equipment and organized workstations
- Provide patient education and ensure comfort during procedures
- Collaborate with healthcare providers for efficient specimen handling
- Document patient information and test requisitions electronically
- Adhere to HIPAA compliance and infection control standards
Qualifications
- Current Michigan Phlebotomy Technician certification (required)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in venipuncture
- Valid CPR certification (or ability to obtain within 30 days)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting
- Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities
- Availability for flexible shifts including evenings/weekends
