Responsibilities
- Perform venipuncture, capillary draws, and specimen collection with precision
- Ensure proper labeling, storage, and transport of blood samples
- Maintain sterile equipment and adhere to OSHA safety protocols
- Provide patient education and reassurance during procedures
- Accurately document patient information and test requisitions
- Collaborate with lab staff and healthcare providers
- Perform quality control checks and equipment maintenance
Qualifications
- Current Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) certification or equivalent
- Minimum 6 months clinical experience
- Excellent venipuncture skills on diverse patient populations
- Proficiency in HIPAA compliance and medical documentation
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask in high-volume settings
- Basic computer literacy and EHR experience preferred
- Valid CPR certification
