Responsibilities
- Perform venipuncture and capillary blood collections following strict protocols
- Process and label specimens accurately with HIPAA compliance
- Verify patient identity and prepare collection equipment
- Calibrate and maintain phlebotomy instruments
- Provide patient education during blood draw procedures
- Collaborate with lab staff for specimen transport and testing
- Maintain clean, organized collection areas
Qualifications
- Current Phlebotomy Technician certification (ASCP, NCCT, or equivalent)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in venipuncture
- Valid BLS/CPR certification
- Proficiency in specimen handling and processing
- Exceptional communication and patient care skills
- Ability to work 20-25 hours/week including weekends
- Background check and drug screen required
