Our 24/7 cardiology unit specializes in interventional procedures, post-op recovery, and chronic disease management. You'll work alongside board-certified cardiologists, advanced practice providers, and a multidisciplinary team dedicated to improving cardiovascular outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care for post-cardiac intervention patients including monitoring vitals, administering medications, and wound assessment
- Collaborate with physicians to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Educate patients and families on cardiac health, medication management, and lifestyle modifications
- Document patient encounters accurately in Epic EMR system
- Participate in rapid response team activations and code blue procedures
- Maintain sterile technique during catheterization lab recoveries
- Conduct discharge planning with case management team
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Minnesota (or compact state)
- BSN degree required (ADN candidates with 2+ years experience considered)
- Minimum 1 year acute care cardiology experience
- BLS and ACLS certifications required (ACLS must be obtained within 30 days of hire)
- Experience with Epic EMR system preferred
- Strong assessment skills and critical thinking abilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and in fast-paced environments
